We were guests of Emanuela for breakfast. The coffee won everyone over: high quality and locally sourced. The banana and peanut butter smoothie was delicious as well. We truly appreciated everything that was homemade, from the cakes to the bread, and we could really feel the passion behind this peaceful corner of Madiha. Emanuela, Tharin, and the staff were wonderful. They were incredibly warm, caring, and attentive. Our room was designed with great care, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into what would be practical and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Emanuela ist eine wunderbare und sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Die Casa Tharín liegt traumhaft schön, nur etwa drei Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand mit Korallenriffen entfernt. Wir hatten das King-Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer verfügt zwar über keine Klimaanlage, was sich jedoch überhaupt nicht als Nachteil erwiesen hat – im Gegenteil. Durch die gut zu öffnenden Fenster und den Ventilator lässt sich das Zimmer auch nachts hervorragend lüften. Es ist sehr geräumig, blitzsauber und mit einem Mückennetz ausgestattet. Ein absolutes Highlight der Unterkunft ist die wunderschöne Terrasse ganz oben. Dort kann man hervorragend entspannen und gemütlich sitzen. Außerdem gehört zur Casa Tharín ein Café, in dem man frühstücken und wirklich ausgezeichneten Kaffee genießen kann. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist auch, dass Strandlaken zur Verfügung gestellt werden – ein großer Pluspunkt bei der Nähe zum Strand. Ein kleiner Tipp für zukünftige Gäste: Direkt vor dem Hotel stehen oft Tuk-Tuk-Fahrer, die sehr überhöhte Preise verlangen. Das hat natürlich nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun. Es lohnt sich, ein paar Schritte bis zur Hauptstraße zu gehen und dort ein Tuk-Tuk zu nehmen. Die Fahrt nach Mirissa ist dann deutlich günstiger. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung der Casa Tarín gibt es zudem sehr gute Restaurants. Abends kann man auch wunderbar spazieren gehen, zum Beispiel bis nach Polhena. Alles in allem hatten wir eine wunderschöne Zeit und einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt bei einer sehr liebevollen Gastgeberin. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

I had a great two-week stay at Casa Tharin in Madiha and would absolutely come back. The surf spot is just a very short walk away, with a couple of different breaks, so it’s perfect whether you want an easy break or a little faster wave. The owners make you feel welcome immediately — warm, relaxed, and genuinely caring without being overbearing. Their café is a real highlight: excellent breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and honestly one of the best coffee in town. The freshly baked cinnamon rolls are next level and the perfect afternoon snack after a surf. The vibe at Casa Tharin is also great — lots of friendly, international guests, easy to meet people, and a nice balance between social and calm. Nous avons passé 4 nuits à Casa Tharin, et tout a été absolument parfait ! L’emplacement, le cadre, les chambres ainsi que le personnel. We really enjoyed our time at casa Tharin! The room was nice, simple, clean and had everything you need. The food and coffee were great, and Emanuela and Tharin made us feel at home all the time. Would love to come back.
